Test and Tag Procedures
Prior to testing, our technician will survey all appliances through Asset Support Group’s unique electronic data capture system. Our system allows the technicians to perform fast and accurate data capture, with the capability to conduct up to three times as much work than handwritten record-keeping systems. This means reduced interruption to the daily routines of your business and staff members.
Once an appliance has passed its tests, a barcode is placed near to the male plug of the flexible lead, correlating with data kept on our database. The technician will then apply a compliance tag between the barcode and the plug, which shows that the appliance has been tested and is ready for use and also notes the next test date.
Safety of your staff members and clients is paramount, which is why we have implemented a strict set of guidelines for our technicians to follow whenever they find an appliance which has not passed inspection. The appliance will be marked accordingly with a failed tag and, if possible, physically removed from service and given to an appropriate member of your staff.

When the testing and tagging stage is completed, you will be supplied with a complete listing of your items, which includes all information as required by AS/NZS 3760:2010. You will also be supplied with a certificate of compliance that states that the appliances at your site have been tested, along with introduction to service tags at no extra cost.
Newly purchased items do not need to be tested for 12 months, but will need to be tagged to indicate when they were introduced to service and when they will be required to be next tested.
